There was a Tree. Emerging from the ground at the edge of a stream in the middle of a plain, it was the only tree around. He constantly wondered where he came from, who his parents were and to what species he might belong.
Dragonflies hardly cared about him, birds either. Only the stream, which had brought him to this place, looked after him well. He brought the Tree news of the forest upstream. Not knowing more about his origins, it was with all his wisdom that the stream repeated to him:
– Be patient, the time will come when you will know!
The seasons passed; his solitude grew up together with him. His stature became more imposing without losing grace and elegance. Having arrived at his third spring, the Tree saw small buds appear on his branches grown strong. At their blossoming, he found himself ornamented from head to toe by magnificent pale pink flowers. Their fragrance was so seductive that many bluebirds came to offer him company. He knew who he was then and never felt alone again. Sometimes he misses the solitude. But to tell the truth, he likes his blue birds.
Composed of different tints of blues and pinks, this scarf is inspired by summer evenings on the Côte d’Azur. Brilliant blue, the background reveals cherry blossoms like stars. The birds of a midnight blue tone stand out thanks to their plumage’s bursts of the celestial blue. The frame with its delicate dragonflies accentuates the Japanese inspiration of cherry blossoms.
